St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman to Honor National Service Volunteers April 9


All RSVP volunteers serving in the city of St. Paul are invited to join the free celebration!

The Corporation for National and Community Service has partnered with the U.S. Conference of Mayors and other organizations to promote April 9 as the Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service. On this day, mayors across the country will hold public events to highlight the value and impact of national service to the nation's cities.

In St. Paul, Mayor Chris Coleman has planned a day of site visits to highlight national service in Saint Paul, ending with a celebration of the city's service members at Summit Brewery. 

RSVP member volunteers are part of the national service program, Senior Corps, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

RSVP members volunteer in many capacities, including:
-Helping older adults and people with disabilities remain independent at home.
-Reducing hunger.
-Increasing housing stability.
-Promoting literacy and educational achievement.
-Supporting veterans and families of active military.
-Improving economic stability.

All RSVP volunteers serving in the city of St. Paul are invited to join the free celebration!

What: Mayor's Day of Recognition for National Service, Saint Paul Member Celebration

Where: Summit Brewery, 910 Montreal Circle, St Paul, MN <Map

When: 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, April 9th (program at 5:30)
