Help Solid Ground Win IKEA Makeover! Vote Now!

SG (82)
RSVP Partner Spotlight

Solid Ground is one of three finalists in the IKEA Life Improvement Challenge-- with a chance to win a makeover of our Community Room kitchen!
You can vote daily until March 28th by
following this link:   Thank you for your support!

At Solid Ground, we help homeless families and children to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.  We provide housing and supportive services to 300 women, men and children each year in our four supportive housing programs, helping homeless families build the strong foundations they need for a brighter future.
In 2012, 60% of the homeless families served by Solid Ground came from Ramsey County and 34% came from Washington County.  While the majority of our families consist of single mothers with young children, we serve all family structures, including single fathers and two parent families.
While living in Solid Ground housing, families receive support to help them make the transition from homelessness to stability.  Parents meet regularly with their Solid Ground Advocate to develop and work towards their goals.  We provide support in finding employment, continuing education, and managing health.
At East Metro Place, we provide intensive and innovative programming such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help parents learn the new skills they need for their future.  We provide parenting courses to help our parents learn new skills and techniques to support their children.  Solid Ground also supports children socially, emotionally and academically.  We provide 1-on-1 tutoring through our Learning & Enrichment Program to help kids succeed in school as well as family and social activities where kids can just be kids.
Solid Ground meets families where they are and supports parents in achieving their goals of stability and self-sufficiency.
