Children's Book Drive

Did you know that 60% of students living in poverty have zero children’s books in their home?!

Experience Corps, a program of Volunteers of America of MN and a partner with RSVP, is holding a book drive to support the students at one of its partner schools in St. Paul – The Barack and Michelle Obama Service Learning School.

Help us send books home with each of the 600+ kindergarten – 6th grade students at Obama Elementary! (Books appropriate for Ages 5-12).

You can support the book drive in two ways:

Donate new or gently used books appropriate for Ages 5-12 to one of the drop-box locations before May 15th:
 Volunteers of America of MN Corporate Offices:
7625 Metro Blvd., Minneapolis 55439
 Golden Thyme Coffee & CafĂ© – 921 Selby Ave., St. Paul 55104
 Red Balloon Bookshop – 891 Grand Ave., St. Paul 55105
 George’s Shoe & Skate Repair – 672½ Grand Ave., St. Paul 55105

Give a tax-deductible monetary gift and Experience Corps will purchase age-appropriate books (100% of your donation will go towards books). Please contact Abby (info below) for a donation form and further information.

Questions? Large donations? Monetary gifts? Please contact Abby Woodworth, Experience Corps St. Paul Field Coordinator, at 612-708-5933 or awoodworth@voamn.org
